Spirulina Green Monster
I would like to say that I drink smoothies religiously every day…
But when I do, I usually make the greenest concoction possible. It’s just the feeling that you get when all the vitamins hit your blood stream – haha I know how it sounds, but it’s true!
So here is my ‘green booster’, ‘detox shot’ and ‘fibre filler’ – all in one, especially for you! J
Prep time: 5 min
- 1 banana, peeled
- 3 kale leaves, washed
- Handful of frozen blueberries (you can use fresh ones)
- ¼ green cucumber
- 1 tbsp. chia seeds
- 1 tsp. Spirulina powder
- 300 ml water (or more if you like it a little bit more runny)
If you are not used to green juices then you might want to add a couple of pitted dates, 1-2 spoons of maple syrup or double the quantity of bananas to make it sweeter.
Other super food powders that I add on a rotational basis: (I wouldn’t add all of them at once!)
- 1 tsp. Chlorella
- 1 tsp. Pea protein powder
- 1 tsp. Lucuma powder
- 1 tsp. Maca powder
- 1 tbsp. Hemp seeds
Place all the ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth.
**If you add chia seeds – drink immediately as it might set very quickly.
