Turmeric Ginger Smoothie

Immune-boosting smoothie perfect for a rainy day but not only!
Turmeric is considered to clean the whole body, especially the liver, it is used to support digestion and to treat infections and inflammation.
Ginger has a very long history of use in various forms of traditional/alternative medicine. It has been used to help digestion, reduce nausea and help fight the flu and common cold, to name a few. Ginger is used so widely in ayurvedic medicine that there even is a sutra (verse/pearl of wisdom) that says that everyone should eat fresh ginger just before lunch and dinner to enhance digestion.

Makes: 3 glasses

Ingredients
- 1 mango
- 2 bananas
- 1 orange
- Thumb size piece of fresh ginger
- 1 tsp. turmeric
- 400 ml water*
Method
1. Wash and peel the mango, bananas, orange and ginger; add to the blender.
2. Add turmeric and water and blend until smooth.
Enjoy!
*Add more water if you prefer it more runny.
Tip: the best way to easily peel ginger is to scrape it with a teaspoon.
